1) i doubt pog used "silver" in his frames.
2) in brazing rods, silver is an ingredient; it's not "the" rod.
at witcomb usa we used nickel-silver and the owner wanted
us to add little phrases like "silver brazed" to the catalogs. it
was all very innocent. nickel-silver might as well be brass.
3) dale was right about the range of percentages in the many
alloyed rods available to industry. each has its own application
and mechanical properties. don't be drawn-in to the term
"silver-brazed" if its used as a tag line.
