i have done scores, if not hundreds of 'repairs' on
3rd party frames over the years. rear dropouts, down tubes,
alignments, bridges replaced, braze-ons added. the entire gamut.
in most cases, i do them immediately when they come in.
they are quick and often easy to do. the client is normally
simply interested in getting back on the road. the money
is GREAT. and a relationship is now established which
could evolve into a future frame sale.
it's not always easy to put my heart into each repair as though
it was one of my frames being built. if the client is in need,
and the frame is grounded, and the quote is agreed upon,
where's the harm?
